Jo was extremely knowledgeable and gave some really good advice before we entered the water and during the session. I always thought I was a strong swimmer but with some tips and suggestions from Jo, I’ve come away with some things to practice for future outdoor swims. "Braved the sea today for a lesson with Jo, prep for Southend triathlon swimming the route and distance. felt a long way and went on forever!!!!!!! Very windy and wavy it was so exhausting and a real struggle...what was I thinking !!!!! Jo was amazing would have stopped and got out without her by my side keeping me calm, supporting me all the way. Thk u so much Jo"

"I have just finished a block of 6 lessons with Jo , which have been so helpful. I learnt to swim as a young adult with 10 group lessons at a local pool, but was never really happy in the water ! Over the last few years inspired by my youngest daughter who is a great swimmer I have wanted to improve and even got into the sea and a few local lakes last year. However, my swimming felt very hard work even though it acted as a good cross training activity from my running.
Jo had been very encouraging , taking me back to basics that I had completely missed . Gliding, rotating , catching the water for propulsion .and calmly breathing have all been carefully explained and worked on. I feel a lot more relaxed and efficient in the water and fitter too.
Today I swam my longest ever pool session and I am looking forward to doing the 800m event at the Great East Swim. Thank you Jo."
